PA Drone Association to Host Press Conference

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Group to Highlight Drones for Good, UAS Innovation Fund, Economic Impact Study

HARRISBURG, Pa. (November 16, 2021) – The Pennsylvania Drone Association, an association that brings together businesses, institutions and individuals with a common interest in unmanned aircraft systems technologies, will hold a press conference on the steps of the Pennsylvania Capitol at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17.

The press conference follows two days of a virtual symposium on UAS public safety programs and policies, offers practical lessons by experts in the public safety UAS field, and provides perspective from some of the state’s governmental agencies. These events are all part of PA Drone Week, concluding with the Drones in Construction and Engineering event held in-person at Harrisburg University on Nov. 18.

The press conference will feature three speakers: Rep. Meghan Schroeder; David Heath, PA Drone Association; Dr. John Duesler, Kaze Aerial Production; and Daniel Calig, Pittsburgh Drone Masters. They will be discussing SB 787 and HB 1675 (UAS Innovation Fund), the UAS portion of PennDOT’s 2022 Pennsylvania Aviation Economic Impact Study, and how drones are used for good.
